The characters I write about have very real lives. They are the man you see riding in the elevator every day and the girl you know from the gym. Their stories are oftentimes more interesting than any twist of fiction. All they need is a voice to tell their stories.

I give them that voice. I let their story come to life - sometimes with a touch of creative license, most times without.
